La newsletter Version Control de RFP Connect a souhaité interroger Ian Thompson sur B-One et les dernières nouvelles concernant BI-SAM. Cette interview s'est déroulée en anglais.


VC: Mr. Thompson, at present, what would BI-SAM con- sider to be its core product?

Thompson: B-One® - a single solution that delivers performance, attribution (equity, balanced & fixed income), risk & reporting capabilities to Asset Managers. BI-SAM will be extending its solution to include GIPS composite administration capabilities, as part of the same single solution, during 2010. This enterprise solution leverages a single database to deliver validated attribution results to performance teams, investment managers and their marketing operations via a browser-based user interface and advanced reporting solution. B-One delivers improved scalability and client service whilst reducing operational risk in today's complex and integrated technology environment.

VC: What would you consider to be the main competitive advantage of B-One?

Thompson: BI-SAM was awarded Winner of the 2008 & 2009 Buy-Side Technology award for ‘best buy-side performance measurement & attribution product'. Asset Managers use BI-SAM's specialist solution to complement their existing middle-office solutions that do not provide the detailed information demanded by asset managers, middle-office's, performance & reporting teams and their clients.

VC: How often do you integrate new features to B-One, are there any new products to be launched in the immi- nent future?

Thompson: BI-SAM is about to launch a GIPS module which enables building of composites, calculating all required returns, risk indicators and ratios and provide reports including all disclosures. The GIPS module will be available as a fully integrated solution or as a standalone solution.
